Our cotton percale mattress protectors are designed to keep your mattress clean and fresh. It is easier to wash your mattress protector rather than your mattress. Manufactured by us, our protectors fit both standard and extra length beds. The filling is thicker than usual providing a luxurious feel under any fitted sheet.
About the fabric
This fabric contains 200 threads per square inch woven in a percale weave of pure cotton.
Percale employs a straightforward plain-weave pattern. Imagine it as a friendly criss-cross: one thread goes over, and the next one goes under. This creates a tightly woven fabric that feels crisp and has a matte finish.
Percale sheets typically have a thread count of about 180 or higher. Compared to other weaves like twill or sateen, percale is noticeably tighter. It’s like the well-pressed shirt of the bedding world—firm, smooth, and without any glossy sheen
The magic lies in those thin threads. When woven together, they yield a lightweight, breathable fabric. Picture yourself on a warm summer night, cocooned in percale sheets—the perfect balance of comfort and coolness. No wonder it’s a favourite for those who tend to sleep hot.
Pure cotton gets softer with age, especially after washing. Cotton is a natural fibre derived from the cotton plant. It’s soft, breathable, and comfortable. Being entirely natural, it’s biodegradable and eco-friendly. It’s highly absorbent, allowing it to wick away moisture from your skin. It does, however, require steam ironing if you prefer a wrinkle free bed. Make sure you use steam or spray it with water before ironing as this make the job quick. Dry sheets do not iron well.
