They are manufactured from high quality fabrics used in the manufacture of beds. In order to minimise the seam between the two singles, 3 layers of dacron and 1 layer of foam are quilted under a thick mattress knit fabric. The sides of the converter are quilted mattress ticking (also containing a thin layer of dacron). Elastics on all four corners slip under the mattress to hold the converter in place.
