Description

Our fitted sheets are fully elasticated right the way around and can fit a mattress up to 35cm deep easily. The elastic pulls any excess underneath and holds it firmly for thinner mattresses.

A fitted sheet is a rectangular sheet with elasticated edges designed to protect the mattress and provide a comfortable surface to sleep on. Unlike a flat sheet, which lays flat on top of the fitted sheet, the elasticated edges of a fitted sheet ensure it stays securely in place on the mattress, even during restless nights of tossing and turning.

About Pure Cotton:

  • As with cotton clothing, pure cotton is breathable, comfortable and luxurious in comparison to polycotton. It also lasts longer than polycotton.
  • Pure cotton does require ironing, but this is easy if slightly damp or sprayed with water before ironing. The advantages of pure cotton bedding however make this a fair trade-off.
  • For hospitality establishments, pure cotton will allow you to achieve higher ratings, revenue and is almost always preferred by European travellers.

About Thread Counts:

  • The thread count of a fabric is the number of threads woven into a square inch of the fabric.
  • The higher the number, the more luxurious the fabric is considered to be (subject to the quality of the weave).
  • Beyond about 400/500 thread count, fabrics become thicker to get the ever-increasing number of threads per unit of area.
  • One should consider thread count, texture and thickness when choosing the fabric they prefer.

Size Guide:

  • Standard length: 190cm long
  • Extra length: 200cm long
  • Single width: 92cm wide
  • Three quarter width: 109cm wide
  • Double width: 137cm wide
  • Queen width: 152cm wide
  • King width: 185cm wide

Washing instructions:

  • Read the products attached specific care label before washing.
  • High wash temperatures above 40 degrees can cause excessive shrink in cotton products.
  • Bleach can cause whites to discolour by leaching out the optical whitener.

About the fabric

This fabric contains 200 threads per square inch woven in a percale weave of pure cotton.

Percale employs a straightforward plain-weave pattern. Imagine it as a friendly criss-cross: one thread goes over, and the next one goes under. This creates a tightly woven fabric that feels crisp and has a matte finish.

Percale sheets typically have a thread count of about 180 or higher. Compared to other weaves like twill or sateen, percale is noticeably tighter. It’s like the well-pressed shirt of the bedding world—firm, smooth, and without any glossy sheen

The magic lies in those thin threads. When woven together, they yield a lightweight, breathable fabric. Picture yourself on a warm summer night, cocooned in percale sheets—the perfect balance of comfort and coolness. No wonder it’s a favourite for those who tend to sleep hot.

Pure cotton gets softer with age, especially after washing. Cotton is a natural fibre derived from the cotton plant. It’s soft, breathable, and comfortable. Being entirely natural, it’s biodegradable and eco-friendly. It’s highly absorbent, allowing it to wick away moisture from your skin. It does, however, require steam ironing if you prefer a wrinkle free bed. Make sure you use steam or spray it with water before ironing as this make the job quick. Dry sheets do not iron well.
